[self portrait]

I’m going to call this a collaboration, because I based this photo off of the work of Ana Sneeringer by including some of her signature elements—the circle on the cheek and the stripes. I’m not sure why her art reminds me of blooming. Maybe it seems like the cheeks of her women are blooming these colorful circles. Maybe the circles feel powerful to me, and blooming into the different versions of yourself throughout your life is a kind of power. Go check out her work to see her gorgeous originals. How close did my photographic physiopoetic version of her work come to mood/attitude of her women?
