The Sea is in Your Mind

Build a sea
around you
and floating
will be
a little easier.

This is Victoria. She's from Cordoba, Argentina, but has been living in Mexico City for a long time. She recently opened a boutique lingerie shop called Amor A Mi  in which she sells items meant to inspire women to feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. Victoria's poem was inspired by what she radiates from her core.

Our circumstances help shape us into who we are, but ultimately our minds can shape our experiences. One person in the middle of a traffic jam might be screaming and fuming because they are late, because they are missing something important, because they feel claustrophobic and trapped, while another person in that exact same traffic jam who is also late, who is also missing something important, who is also just as trapped, might be floating in bliss. It’s all in the mind. We can transform our experiences into what we want them to be with a switch in perspective. If there is something that my beautiful canvas today embodies totalmente, it is this energy. I bet she can find light anywhere, even in the darkest places.
