Our Ghosts

Imagine
our ghosts
on strings
attached in a
way somehow
unknown
to giant
unseen
copper bells
their music
floating
into the sky
without trying
and echoing
awhile
to whispers
then
silence
so we know
they
let go

Mariana is 21, from Chihuahua, Mexico. Her mind wanders in the realms of the psychedelic and mystical, which I see in her doodles and sketches. They capture the essence of the lightness and darkness that exists in all things and show a deep appreciation for the aesthetic of mystery. It is for those things that I have written her poem and altered the photo this way.
