Skin on Sundays

Now I See

Now I See

Light enters
through the cracks
in such
a lovely way.

To be unflawed
is a blossom
of illusion.

I have
it all
perfectly
uncontrolled.

MODEL: Laura is 25, from Madrid, Spain. Dedicated, loyal, bursting with excitement about things big or small–from exploring isles of the turquoise Caribbean to simple daisies on the table–Laura’s bright colors bounce through the world like her beautiful curls. The more I’ve gotten to know her, the more I have realized that her effervescent energy was not born from living in a bubble of happiness, which has not only left her with mountains of empathy, but has added richness to the way she interacts with the people and things around her. That is to say, the ghosts of her past no longer haunt her, but guide her, as a result of the careful attention she has put forth in understanding them rather than trying to control them.

While her home today is Barcelona (where this photo was taken, in the quaint and cobbled neighborhood of Gràcia), her next move is coming soon, only a few steps from revealing itself to her. I wonder where she’ll go.
